Cultural and Extra Curricular Activities
 

 

Maru-Kriti is the Cultural Fest of Central University of Rajasthan.  Maru-Kriti cultural fest is the reflection of Rajasthani art, drama and culture where students present and perform rajasthani dances, songs, fashion show, mimicry, mime, rangoli, mehandi and literary activities. In literary events students take part in debate, extempore, just in time, and Group discussions.

The objective of this fest is to enhance the creativity, and involvement of the students in art and cultural events along with their academics. University encourage the students to participate in extra curricular activities to their complete personality development and to develop the competitiveness in their attitude.

 The Maru-Kriti 2011 was organized on 22nd April 2011. Maharaza Brijraj Singh was the Chief Guest of this cultural fest.

Swati Morwal, Bharti Sharma and suchita performed Rajasthani and Punjabi solo dances where as group dance on rajasthani colors presented by Suman Rathore, Khushbu Rathore and Meenal Kanwar

Manish and Sujeet Kunal presented mimicry, Piyush, Priya and Virendra Mahawar sang solo and group songs.

 

Neha(M.Sc/M.A. Statistics) performed Yoga Art and shown various forms of Yoga. She is also the national level performer of Yoga.

 

MBA students presented fashion show on patriotic theme, similarly Neha, Suman, Meenal and khushbu presented fashion show on Indian theme. Students have participated in creative arts like mehandi and rangoli.                                                                          
                                        

Prize Distribution:

In the prize distribution ceremony many students were awarded for their best performances in various activities. Department of the Year award was given to department of Management for their best performances.

 
Inter University Cultural Festivals

Students are also encouraged to participate in inter university cultural fests. In year 2010 and 2011, students have performed in various literary and cultural events in National and  West Zone Youth Festival Gwalior organised from 26th Nov to 1st Dec 2010.

International Youth Festival Bani-Thani organised in Jan 2011, Students have won awards in Fashion Show, Debate Competition, Dum-Charades, Dance, Mime and Alpana competitions at Bani-Thani international Youth Festival organized at M.D.S. University Ajmer.

National debate competition at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh organised in April 2011.  

Geromic George(M.A. Eco.), Abhishek Pandey(MBA) and Jai Bhaskar(M.Tech CS) stood at second position in Quiz competition organized at Gwalior youth fest and selected for national level. They also stood at third position at national level competition organized at Venketeshvara University, Tirupati.
