In August 2015 the University also received approval to establish DDU KAUSHAL Kendra with a sanction of Rs. 3.7 crores. Presently the DDU-KK is functional under the School of Architecture of the University. Four batches of B. Voc. (Interior Design) program have completed their programme and are scheduled to receive the degree certificatesof batch 2017 in the forthcoming convocation in November 2018.
Besides, short term training courses, presently the DDUKK offers B. Voc. (Interior Design) programme. This is a three years (six semesters) programme with multiple entry and exit option. The modular structure of the programme allows a student to pass out with a set of skills and certificate. The certificates awarded by the university are:
- On successful completion of one year’s programme: Diploma in Interior Design.
- On successful completion of two years’ programme: Advanced Diploma in Interior Design.
- On successful completion of three years’ programme: B. Voc. (Interior Design).
