Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) at the Central University of Rajasthan was established in the month of April 2022 by Dr Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. The Ministry has approved Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence in 13 Central Universities to coach Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Class students in competitive exams by providing the best coaching facilities. Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) is to empower Scheduled Caste (SC) and OBC students in competitive exams by providing better opportunities for learning and excellence through quality coaching, personality, personality development and acquisition of competitive skills. DACE will play a significant role in the holistic development of SC and OBC students. The objective of the Scheme is to provide high-quality free coaching facilities to the Scheduled Caste and OBC students for the Civil Services examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), State Public Service Commissions (SPSCs) and other competitive examinations. It will empower SC and OBC candidates through good quality coaching and fulfil the goal of enhancing their competitive skills.

DACE Mission

As per the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, this specialized coaching scheme will be provided only to the Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Class students for the preparation of the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC and SPSCs.

Scope of the Centre

Dr Ambedkar Centre for Excellence (DACE) will focus on preparing students for competitive exams particularly UPSC and other exams. The Centre monitor and coordinate in conducting classes. Notwithstanding these, it maintains high standard quality coaching. The Centre also updates the syllabus time to time and evaluate the students by conducting internal tests and give them counselling and introduce them to the new innovative means and methods in teaching with infrastructure and library facilities and get the feedback from the students at regular intervals.

Objectives of the Centre

The objective of the Scheme is to provide coaching of good quality for economically disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) candidates to enable them appear in competitive examinations for obtaining appropriate jobs in Public/Private Sector and/or for securing admission in reputed technical and professional higher education institutions.

DACE Programme

It is a classroom mode program which is aimed at improving the cognitive capability of students. The tutoring covers basics of all the subjects as well as discussing model answers for previous year and expected questions. It provokes the student towards inductive as well as deductive reasoning thereby developing the analytical skills which is almost needed in tackling Civil Service Examination. It is not a mere teaching program but a mentoring program which leads to holistic development of Individual Personality.
