Research focuses on solid–solid and liquid–solid interactions across different scales, aiming to bridge fundamental science with real-world applications.

Key areas include:

  1. Wetting and Surface Phenomena: Investigating wetting on real surfaces, superhydrophilic/superhydrophobic/oleophobic behaviors, and lubricant-infused slippery surfaces (LIS).
  2. Tunable Wetting: Controlling surface wetting using external stimuli such as electric and magnetic fields and mechanical stress.
  3. Liquid Marbles: Studying lab-in-a-marble systems, interfacial crystallization, and self-propulsion for microfluidic and biological applications.
  4. Soft Materials: Exploring elastic instabilities and mechanical responses in soft substrates.
