Research in my group sprawls around tuberculosis pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis. During my Ph.D. research at Jawaharlal Nehru University, I gained a strong inclination in tuberculosis pathogenesis and gene regulation.  My research work includes study of chaperone like function of Cyclophilins (peptidyl prolyl isomerase) of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) and I have extended my work on their immune modulatory potential. I have also been working on potential role of mycobacterial Ppiases in responding to host generated stresses like hypoxia and oxidative stress. I have been involved in finding out novel candidates for drug development
